Harvesting & Processing Methods

Washed (Wet) Processing

Produces cleaner, premium-quality beans. Requires water and fermentation tanks.

Natural (Dry) Processing

Whole cherries are sun-dried. Lower cost but requires good drying conditions.

Coffee begins bearing fruit 2–3 years after planting and reaches full production in 4–5 years.

Profitability & Export Market

Specialty-grade coffee commands premium international prices. Direct trade, certification (organic/fair trade), and local roasting increase value addition.

Well-managed plantations remain productive for 20–30 years.
